Amazing Animators storyboard competition
This competition has now closed.
Thank you to everyone who participated in this competition.
we have a fantastic response and were really impressed with all the designs. It was a tough decision to pick a winner as all of the designs delivered important messages about recycling in a fun and creative way. It was wonderful to see so many talented young people with an interest in animation design. However after much deliberation between the Raising Digital Engagement team, waste team and Pushed Ltd we have decided our winner.
Congratulations to Candice Leung who is 11 from Bishop Fox school. Candice demonstrated excellent drawings and a clear message about the importance of recycling. What stood out for us was the clear messaging about making a conscious decision about where to put your litter and the big impact this can have. We are looking forward to seeing the storyboard come to life as Candice works with students from City College Plymouth to turn their idea into a real-life animation. We will be sharing the animation amongst our environmental colleagues who will be ensuring this is publicised amongst their networks to encourage and raise awareness of the importance of recycling.
Candice said: “I am over the moon to have won the competition and I’m really pleased the judges thought my design was good enough to win”.
Alan Chandler, Computer Science and IT lead at Bishop Fox school said, “We are absolutely delighted that Candice’s storyboard has been chosen as the winning entry. Thank you to all the students who entered, their handwork, creativity and passion for our environment. We are very proud of Candice, a fantastic storyboard, and a worthy winner!”
