DESME- Digital Enablement for SMEs

Digital Enablement for SMEs (DESME) is a project designed to support sole traders, micro, small and medium sized businesses (SMEs) to develop their creative and problem-solving skills using digital tools.

Funded by the European Social Fund (ESF), DESME offers fully funded, bespoke, digital training. This will support businesses to make the most of digital tools that are readily available, to improve the management of their business and increase efficiency.

How will this Benefit Businesses?

Having a high level of digital skills can benefit your business in a variety of ways. It can reduce admin costs, save time, money, and enable your team to be far more aware of online resources.

In most SMEs, processes such as project management, finances, and digital marketing can often be extremely time consuming. These can all be streamlined by our bespoke digital training, leaving you more time for growing the business and providing a quality service to existing customers.

These courses and workshops are proven to be effective. The only investment required by your small business is time; which can be repaid tenfold in the long run through the efficiency that increased digital skills provides. Training is delivered in a way that is easy to engage with; 1:1 digital training sessions or bite sized workshops which minimise disruption on site.

Why get involved?

According to the Office of National Statistics, 99% of the UK economy is made up of Micro Businesses and sole traders. The purpose of this project is to help these small businesses access funded 1:1 digital skills training and advice, to help them see the benefits of utilising digital tools, become more digitally efficient and grow. The project will be primarily focused on helping construction the Digital Enablement of SMEs in Plymouth, Exeter, and across Devon.
