We would like to invite you to contribute to the Heart of the South West Skills Advisory Panel’s (SAP) consultation on social mobility.

The consultation is designed to draw on your expertise and experience to help in identifying priorities for activity within the programme. We want to know what is working well in your community or area of work and what more we could and should be doing.

You may find it useful to read our research briefing on social mobility before you complete this consultation. This provides an introduction to social mobility locally within the immediate connect of Covid-19 but also alongside long-term prospects for the future of work.

The consultation is open until 11th June 2021 at 6 pm

The results of the consultation will be shared and discussed at a virtual event on the 30th June between 1pm and 3 pm. We are pleased to confirm that Dr Lee Elliot Major, Professor of Social Mobility at the University of Exeter and Professor Anna Mountford-Zimdars, Director of the Centre for Social Mobility have both agreed to present. The event will be chaired by Martha Wilkinson, Chief Executive of the Devon Community Foundation. To register your interest in attending the event please click here.
